Project Alert is a program presented
to parents, students, teachers and concerned community members. Experts
from within the county are part of the free program sponsored by the
Sussex County Coalition for Healthy & Safe Families. It presents
the hard facts about drugs in and around Sussex County, it educates
parents about the slick marketing techniques that target kids and
the signs and symptoms of different drugs. Youth in recovery from
alcohol and other drug addiction and their parents share their struggles
with addiction and its impact on their lives and families.
Local law enforcement and other experts from within the county are
an integral part of Project Alert Programs.

At these presentations you will learn about the signs and symptoms of drug abuse in our county, including the habits, language and current trends. Knowledge is a key ingredient in preventing substance abuse. Get involved reducing youth use of alcohol and other drugs in Sussex County.
