So...Your Group Needs a Speaker...

Presentation Topics Offered by The Center for Prevention & Counseling offers.
Many programs are free of charge if grant funded.

  • The list below represents many (but not all) of the programs and topics we can provide. We can tailor a variety of other topics to your needs...just give us a call!
See the list of presentation topics below.

  • As substance abuse affects everyone, regardless of education, age, gender, religion or income level, the Center for Prevention and Counseling offers a variety of programs geared to the many different populations in the community. As an agency, we are always looking at the trends and the needs of the community at large and work to adapt or add programs as the need arises.

  • The programs we offer can be presented in your community to students, staff members, parents and community members. We are able to tailor a program to fit your specific needs and are willing to negotiate terms that meet your budget requirements.

  • The Center for Prevention and Counseling has a variety of evidence-based curricula available to teach needed life skills such as decision making, resistance to peer pressure, coping skills and gang resistance along with workshops regarding a wide variety of topics. The minimum fee for a workshop is $100 and is negotiable for a multi-session program that is done over a period of week or for ones that fill one of our agency’s grants requirements.

  • To discuss in more detail and tailor workshops to fit the needs of your district, please contact Becky Carlson, the Director of Prevention Services at 973-383-4787 or becky@centerforprevention.org for an appointment.
